From the first line to the finished room
The line drawing is an illustration made from this image, not a working drawing.
The brief
A large master bedroom can feel empty, or like a hotel. This one needed a focal point strong enough to carry the whole room.
What we did
One wall takes all the drama: a deep indigo relief of fanning shells. Everything else stays soft, with velvet headboard, tufted bench and pale stone. A cove on the bed side keeps the evening light warm.
The result
The room divides into a place to sleep and a place to sit, without any partition.
